Hit and Run

I just read about Nick Adenhart, the LA Angels Baseball pitcher who was killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run accident today. The driver, Andrew Gallo, was drunk, a repeat DUI offender who had a suspended license from a prior DUI conviction, Investigators said. And yet, he was driving his car, drunk, again... and now three people are dead.

This kind of stuff makes me sick. There needs to be something done to prevent drivers without licenses from driving a car. I wish we were in the future where all vehicles will have retina scan that matches your scan with the data on your magnetic strip on your license as well as your weight in the seat before it will start the car. DUI offenders should have to blow clear before they can drive. It is so wrong and frustrating, and now lives are ruined, people are dead... and all because the laws on licensed drivers are impossible to enforce.
